A 25-year-old painter has died in Limbe after falling off the building while doing his work, police have confirmed.

Limbe police deputy public relations officer, Wisdom Nhlane identified the deceased as Davie Shawa who until his death worked as a painter for OPCO Limited.

“The accident happened on July 11 when the deceased was working at an upstairs building opposite Blue Bird Hotel in Limbe town.

“While painting, he slipped on a plastic sheet and fell,” said Nhlane.
After that, Shawa was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital but unfortunately he died while receiving treatment the very same day.

Post-Morten done at the hospital revealed that Shawa died due to severe brain injury.
