MCP to hold a political rally in Balaka on Saturday

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) led by Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is this Saturday scheduled to hold a political rally at Balaka Primary School Ground starting from 1:00pm.

The rally is expected to bring together the new MCP’s big fish Muhammad Sidik Mia from lower shire and the Party’s Vice President Richard Msowoya who is also the Speaker of the National Assembly.

The two have been at loggerhead over remarks made by Mia before joining the party.

Mia is quoted in one of his speech that he is now aiming at getting the position of the Vice President in the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and this statement did not go down well with Msowoya and other senior MCP members.

Some even went further by asking for an apology from Mia.

It took the brevity of Chakwera to bring Msowoya and Mia together at one of the rallies held in Nkhotakota recently.
