MP Njobvuyalema accuses DPP MPs of stealing his newspaper in Parliament

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Member of Parliament for Lilongwe Mapuyu South Joseph Njobvuyalema has accused the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) MPs of stealing his referral newspapers.

Njobvuyalema made the claims on Tuesday afternoon in the National Assembly when stood on point of order.

“Second Deputy Speaker Sir my referral newspapers are missing and I suspect that DPP MPs have a hand on it and through you I am asking the DPP MPs to return my newspapers by tomorrow,” said Njobvuyalema.

Njobvuyalema’s attracted laughter from all both sides of the house and deliberations stopped for closer to two minutes.

Delivering his ruling on the matter, Second Deputy Speaker Clement Chiwaya asked Njobvuyalema to use his own means to find the missing newspapers.
