Trending interview of mentally challenged woman forces Lucius to do a cover version of ‘zonse Ndimoyo’ hit (Watch video)

Veteran musician Lucius Banda has disclosed plans to do a cover version of zonse Ndimoyo hit song by late Alan Namoko following a trending interview of a mentally challenged woman who is currently at Maula Prison in the capital Lilongwe.

The woman identified as Violet Elia was arrested in 2016 in Mchinji for brutally murdering her three biological children by hiting them with a hoe handle.

Elia who is answering murder charges is currently on remand at Maula Prison in the capital Lilongwe.

On mother’s day, Timveni Television crew visited Maula Prison where they chilled with several inmates especially women.

The inmates were given a chance to share their fate and great their relatives.

In the course of interaction Timveni crew bumped into Elia, a mentally challenged woman who is yet to be sentenced after murdering three of her children.

Elia was given a chance to share her fate and in the end choose a song of her wish which she did.

The mentally challenged woman opted for a song done by late Allan Namoko titled Zonse Ndimoyo but she mentioned Lucius Banda as the owner of the song.

“Ine ndimakonda kuvina nyimbo za Lucius Banda ndipo mundiyikile Nyimbo yoti Tililili zonse ndimoyo!” said the woman while dancing.

The video which is now trending on the social media especially facebook and Whatsapp has forced Lucius to express interest in doing a cover version.

“I feel like doing a cover version of zonse Ndimoyo by Alan Namoko. In Dedication to this woman…. what do you think people?” wrote Banda.

Meanwhile Malawians have applauded Lucius for his decision.
