There was laughter in a local court in Lusaka when a man said that his wife told him that he was not a man enough compared to other men who could go six rounds when making love.
The man identified as Joseph Chanda was testifying in a case in which his wife, Naomi Chanda sued him for divorce after separating since September 30, 2017.
The two got married in 2007 and do not have children.
Naomi told the court that they have been differing with Chanda over money and that he doesn’t want to admit when he is wrong.
She explained that in 2013 Chanda sent her packing and that after a year he married another woman and brought her in the matrimonial home.
Naomi added that in 2015 the woman Chanda married sold all household goods and left him adding that even at work, things were not well.
“We reconciled with Chanda but he later stopped talking to me and in 2017 he sent me packing. I sued him for reconciliation, he refused to reconcile,” said Naomi.
In defence, Chanda said that since they got married, Naomi has been insulting him.
“Naomi said that I am not a man enough because there are men who make love six rounds and that their semen is like glue. She said that am weak in bed and I release water. It troubles me, when I am at work I think she is with strong men,’’ said Chanda.
But Naomi said that she never told Chanda that there are men who make six rounds but he just want to cover himself because he has already married another woman.
Chanda admitted marrying another woman saying it was better for him to marry a woman he can manage to make love with.
The court said that there was no love because while on separation Chanda married another woman.
The court said that Naomi used bad words against her husband.
The court granted divorce without compensation and that household goods acquired together to be shared equally.
