Students from Exploit University on Tuesday went on rampage destroying the house of its Chancellor Professor Kingstone Ngwira in area 49 in the capital Lilongwe.
The development follows the ongoing strike by academic and support staff denying them the right to education.
The student wants Ngwira to resolve the strike with immediate effect.
Recently Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) froze the institution’s bank accounts due to failure by the management to remit tax.
Meanwhile the school has been closed indefinitely and all the students have been ordered to leave the campus.
