Indian police have arrested a man for shooting to death a bridegroom during a wedding ceremony.
The victim, Sunnil Verma 25, was celebrating the occasion in a circle with guests before a bullet hit him in the chest.
The killing seems to have happened during celebratory gunfire but it is not clear if the incident is thought to be intentional or an accident.
A police statement read:’it appears that the groom was killed during the celebratory firing, but police are probing other angles too.’
Another incident of this kind also happened in India. During that incident, a CCTV footage from the area showed that the accused, Aadil and another relative had fired two separate shots in the air.
The first shot fired by another relative didn’t hit anyone but the shot fired by Aadil hit the bridegroom and he collapsed on the spot.
Aadil was immediately arrested.
