Kaliati says Mutharika promised to rule for one term

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Member of Parliament for Mulanje West Constituency Patricia Kaliati has said that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika promised to rule the country for one term.

Kaliati disclosed this during a media briefing currently underway at Golden Peacock in the capital Lilongwe aimed at endorsing Chilima to be the party’s torchbearer in the forthcoming tripartite election.

In his speech, Kaliati also trashed the remarks by President Mutharika that the pro-Chilima’s camp is planning to sale the party.

“People say #SKCCamp wants to sell the party, where? Where are we going to sell it to? #DPP is a national party, not only in the Lomwe belt alone,” said Kaliati.
