Mulhako wa Alhomwe Invade Kaliati’s Residence over her Disrespectful Speech to Chief Ngolongoliwa, Kaliati Reacts

Mulhako wa Alhomwe members on Sunday held a vigil at the house of Mulanje West Legislator, Patricia Kaliati whom they want to apologize over a speech she made at Masintha ground during the launch of United Transformation Movement (UTM).

In her speech, the vocal Kaliati said that Chief Ngolongoliwa and Mulhako Chairperson, Leston Mulli were the architects in the formation of UTM which its leader is the Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima.

Following that, the grouping of Mulhako wa Alhomwe demanded an apology from Kaliati threatening that failure to do so, the grouping will hold vigils at Kaliati’s residences in area 43, Lilongwe and also at her Mkando residence in Mulanje.

On Sunday, members of Mulhako wa Alhomwe maintained their stand by holding a vigil at the legislator’s Mkando residence.

Mulhako wa Alhomwe director, Muchanakhwaye Mpaluka confirmed of the development saying the will not stop until Kaliati apologises.

“We will continue holding a vigil at Kaliati’s residence including offering sacrifices to appease our gods until she apologises,” he said.

But Kaliati seems to be reluctant to apologise as she has said in her recent statement.

“Whatever i said is true and i maintain it, “she said while stating that what the group has done is trespassing.

Kaliati condemned Mulhako leadership to be using its members to be “threatening one another and even interfering with someone’s private life.”
