Two Chikwawa Men Found in Possession of Human Bones

Police in Chikwawa district are keeping in custody two men who were found in possession of human bones.

Chikwawa police public relations officer, Foster Benjamin has identified the two as Lloyd Chakwamba, 34, and Luka Kadendere, 32, who were arrested on Saturday at Mbande Village soon after Mwanza River in the area of Traditional Authority Maseya in the district.

According to Benjamin, police intercepted the two as they were coming from a crime scene at Mandilande.

“The police, who were on their way from a crime scene at Mandilade, came across the suspects riding a motorcycle and carrying a suspicious bag. Thereafter, the officers demanded to search the bag in which the human bones were found in,” said Benjamin.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to establish both the source and the destination of the bones.

The suspects hail from Galanza Village under Senior Chief Ngabu in Chikwawa District.
