A 31-YEAR old driver in Namwala District in Zambia has committed suicide by hanging after the vehicle he was driving overturned and killed his wife, son and nephew.
Kasary Chikampa of Chief Muchila in Namwala district of Southern Province who was driving a Toyota Hilux Registration number No. 3402 overturned killing three members of his family.
Upon the confirmation of the deaths at the hospital, Chikampa decided to take his life by hanging himself using a rope in his house.
Southern Province Commissioner of Police Bonny Kapeso who confirmed the development identified the deceased as Orin Chikampa the wife aged 22 years, his son aged one year eight months, and his nephew aged 16 years.
Kapeso said all the three bodies of the deceased are laying in Namwala District Hospital mortuary while the incident occurred on Tuesday between 17:30 hrs and 18:00 hrs.
