Chanthunya’s bail bid ruling today in Zomba

The Supreme Court of Appeal sitting in Zomba will today make its ruling whether Misozi Chanthunya who is accused of murdering his girlfriend, Linda Gasa should be released on bail or not as per his application.

During the last court appearance, the state made preliminary objection against his bail application citing security reasons among others.

Supreme Court judge, Justice Dustain Mwaungulu is expected to preside over the bail application ruling.

He was repatriated back to Malawi from South Africa earlier this year and he is currently being kept at Chichiri Prison in the commercial capital Blantyre.
