Police Arrest Asian Man Over Brutal Murder of his Wife in Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe have arrested an Asian man on suspicion that he killed his wife.

According to police, the deceased who is the daughter of Jabbar Akbanies was found with a slit throat and a knife on her neck at her residence in area 9, Lilongwe on Wednesday night.

Police said she was found by her neighbors after her parents failed to get hold of her on the phone.

Meanwhile, the husband is being held as a prime suspect as the police are still continuing with an investigation.

She was 35 and has left two kids behind.
