An angry mob in Zambian district of Samfya last Thursday killed a man who allegedly turned into a crocodile and went in Chisa River which is in the area and killed another villager who was fishing.
The district’s deputy police spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga identified the deceased as Changani Musenge aged 36.
According to ZambianObserver, on the day of the incident, the deceased allegedly turned into a human crocodile and mauled Bupe Lano aged 20 of Misitala Village when she went fishing on Chisa River in Katanshya area.
After two days from the day of the incident, information spread to surrounding villages where villagers mobilised themselves, brutally murdered and buried the deceased.
Police rushed to the scene and found the body already buried.
However, three people have been picked to assist with investigations namely.
The three are village Headman Misitala Mwewa Silvester aged 74, Lano Chiboni (Father to the deceased) aged 45 and A male juvenile aged 18 years all from the same village.
