Female Police Officer Beats Fellow Officer over a Man in Mangochi

Police in Mangochi are keeping in custody a fellow female police officer for beating up another female police officer on allegations that she was in love affair with the suspect’s husband.

The suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Constable Grace Pindani and the victim as Constable Chimwemwe Wadi aged 26.

This has happened on Thursday whilst the victim was assigned on duty at M’mbaluku roadblock.

Facts of the story is that, on the said day around 1200hrs the victim was approached by Constable Grace Pindani.

Suddenly Pindani started beating the victim saying she was having an affair with her husband.

However, the victim did not fight back and she later reported the matter to Mangochi police station where she was referred to Mangochi District Hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained during the attack.

Meanwhile, the suspect has since been placed in custody as she wait to appear in court to answer charges accordingly.

She hails from Mgomba village in the area of traditional authority Malenga Chanzi in Nkhotakota whilst the victim is from Malopa village T/A Mulomba in Machinga.
