Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that fire has gutted an office in Tikwere House on the floor which the Department of Water and Irrigation occupies.
Fire bridged from Lilongwe City Council rushed to the scene and managed to contain the fire before it spread to other offices.
James Magwira, Director of human resource in the department of Water and Irrigation confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Magwira, the fire emanated from an electrical fault.
