Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) church his wife (37) are expected to appear before the Pretoria Commercial Crime Court today to answer charges of alleged fraud and money laundering.
The couple was arrested on Friday by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation team at a lavish hotel in Rustenburg.
The Hawks’ case against the pair, concerns alleged offences of fraud, money laundering and contravention of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.

The couple runs several business enterprises in South Africa and abroad.
Meanwhile ECG church members have gathered outside the court protesting the arrest of Bushiri.
