Church Minister Commits Suicide in Brother’s Room

A Catholic brother of Mzedi Catholic Community (St Patrick’s Campus) has committed suicide by hanging himself in his brother’s room.

According to a police report seen by this publication, the incident occurred at Masala village in Bangwe Township around 10 pm.

It is said on Wednesday, 24^th April the deceased who was staying at Mzedi Catholic Community left the place in the afternoon hours without informing anybody and went to his late parents’ house at Masala village in Bangwe.

Upon arriving, he did not found anybody at the house and his body was found later in his brother’s room hanging by a rope made of mosquito net.

His brother, Mr Tasiyano Finye aged 36 who was residing at the place reported the matter to police after the discovery of the body.

The body was taken to college of medicine for a postmortem.

However, the reason behind the act is not yet known.

He has been identified by Stainslao Finye aged 39 and he hailed from Matale village in the area of traditional authority Phambala in Ntcheu.
