Rumphi Youths Protests against Low Wages

Youths in Rumphi this morning held a peaceful match over the K5 billion Government Afforestation Program.

The youths have been asking government to be paying them K9000 not K192 per day as they are currently being paid.

The youths presented their petition demanding government to address their concerns.

They however, threaten government saying failure to address their demands will result to them holding violent demonstrations.

The petition has been presented to the District Commissioner of the district.
