UTM diaspora wing replaces Nyalonje’s vehicle burnt in Mangoch by suspected DPP cadets

United Transformation Movement (UTM) diaspora wing has replaced a burnt vehicle belonging to Member of Parliament for Mzimba North Constituency Agnes Nyalonje.

In August last year, suspected youth cadets for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) burnt down Nyalonje’s vehicle  and the party’s vehicle prior to UTM launch in the eastern district of Mangochi graced by party President Dr. Saulos Chilima.

Before the incident, suspected DPP cadets also invaded the house of Member of Parliament Mulanje Bon Kalindo in Chirimba and torched down his vehicle.

Both the two vehicles were replaced on Friday.

Speaking after handing over the vehicle, UTM Director of Diaspora hailed the community for the support shown to UTM members who suffered the attack.

Meanwhile the suspected attackers are yet to be arrested.
