Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) youths wing donated assorted items worth K400, 000 to postnatal mothers at Mitundu Community hospital in Lilongwe.
Central Region College Youth Director Tennessee Chirambo said they were moved with challenges women face at the hospital hence the donation.
“We observed that our mothers in this hospital were lacking so many things after a needs assessment we decided to come in and help,” said Chirambo.
He added that it is the responsibility of the youths in the country to make contributions towards development of the country.
Hanifa Likaka, Mitundu Community hospital matron described the donation as timely.
Among other items that the youths donated were; soap, cooking oil and packets of sugar. �Ÿ�PN�
