President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, torchbearer for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has finally casted his vote at Goliati Polling Centre in Thyolo District.
President Mutharika arrived at the polling centre at around 10:15 am in a jovial mood.
Mutharika expressed gratitude that the polling day is peaceful at Goliati where he cast his vote and the whole Malawi.
He also asked people to vote on areas they registered so that they exercise their right.
He urged people to vote for leaders of their choice.
In a related development, former President Dr. Joyce Banda at Malemia Primary School in Zomba Malosa Constituency, where a number of 1,793 registered to vote.
She also urged Malawians to come out in large numbers and vote.
