Meanwhile, The Malawi Electoral Commission has given a go ahead to all the media houses to start announcing the unofficial results anytime from now as a way to deal with any possible false speculation.

The MEC Chairperson Justice Jane Ansah had in the afternoon restricted all media houses from announcing unofficial results until 10:30 tonight as a way to avoid tension that could have possibly occurred.

However, there has since been an outcry from people that all local TV stations are OFFLINE including some few radio stations.
