Chakwera Set to Join Demos In BT

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leader Lazarus Chakwera is set to join Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) organized demonstrations in Blantyre.

The Party’s campaign director Moses Kunkuyu has confirmed.

HRDC has been organizing a series of demonstrations in the country calling for Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairwoman Jane Ansah to step down, alongside all MEC commissioners.

Ansah is accused of mismanaging May 21 Tipp-Ex elections, which President Peter Mutharika was declared a winner.
