A husband in the neighboring Zambia has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife on 19th April, 2019 and hid her body under the bed in Lusaka’s Kabanana Compound.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo who confirmed the arrest to Mwebantu in a statement said the Weston N’gambi suspect was apprehended yesterday around 17:00 hours by members of the public in 15 miles area where he had gone to hide.
She said the members of the public surrendered him to police after apprehending him and that police are yet to be charge him with Murder.
Katongo has since thanked members of the public for their alertness and quick response adding that policing is a collective responsibility which should not be left for police alone.
