Malawi College of Health Science students on rampage

Malawi College of Health Sciences students are holding demonstrations demanding the immediate opening of the l college.

The protest comes barely two days after United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima asked the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government under President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to consider resolving the matter.

Chilima said the students have suffered enough and something has to be done on the matter.

The college was closed in March this year following an industrial strike by workers at the institution.

The students say the strike has affected their education calender and despite several efforts, authorities have remained silent on the matter.
