Mulli not amused with people making fun of Ngolongoliwa’s death

Mulhakho Wa Alhomwe Leston Mulli has fault some Malawians who are making fun over the death of Paramount Chief Ngolongoliwa.

Mulli said this during the burial ceremony of the Lhomwe Chief on Wednesday at Mtunda Wosema, the headquarters of the departed Paramount in Thyolo.

In his speech, Mulli said he is deeply shocked with some unknown Malawians making fun on the social media over the death of Ngolongoliwa.

He asked God to forgive the said people, saying Ngolongoliwa was a source of unity among the Lhomwes across the country.

“I have seen on social media some people celebrating the death of the chief sarcastically. My prayer to God is: forgive them, they do not know what they are doing,” said Mulli.

Mulli hinted that every living thing will not escape death.

Speaking of behalf of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika who also attended the burial ceremony, Kondwani Nankhumwa, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South said the President is deeply shocked with Ngolongoliwa’s death.

Born as Laelo Costa Juma on 18th February 1950, Ngolongoliwa was elevated from the position of Senior Chief to Paramount Chief Ngolongoliwa on 9th March 2017.
