A-47 year old Zambian man has been arrested by police for attempting to murder his wife by pushing her off from a moving vehicle.
The incident happened on Sunday around 02:00hrs.
Mr Kenneth Taguta had gone at Airport to pick his wife Lilian Kasalika aged 45 years who was coming from Nairobi, Kenya.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has reported in a statement that the suspect who was accompanied by his 14 year old daughter on the way back from the airport picked up a quarrel with his wife.
Katongo said it is alleged that the husband then opened the front passenger’s door where the wife was and pushed her out from the moving motor vehicle forcing her to land on the ground with the head.
“She sustained multiple injuries and became unconscious and was rushed to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital where she’s still admitted. She was bleeding through the nose and was unable to talk,” Katongo said.
Katongo said the suspect was apprehended and is detained in Police custody.
