NANKHUMWA OPENS NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL FAIR

Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development, Honorable Kondwani Nankhumwa, MP, officially opened the 16^th National Agriculture Fair on Wednesday, 25^th September, 2019, at Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds, Blantyre.

In his official address before a mammoth audience, the minister said Government of Malawi under the dynamic and wise leadership of his Peter Mutharika, places highest priority on agriculture sector growth and development.

“The government is fully committed to improving the agriculture sectors performance for increased food, nutrition and income security with a view to achieving overall economic growth and reducing poverty in this country,” said Nankhumwa.

This year’s theme is Agricultural commercialization: Basis for Agri- based Industrialization.
