A 29 year old man Nashcarlid Sibanda has been fined $460 or to face 3 months behind bars for stealing chicken wings at a Chicken Inn, arguing he was craving for them.
Sibanda appearing before magistrate Shepherd Mjanja facing a charge of malicious damage to property as defined in section 140 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act (Chapter 9:23).
According to prosecutor Tinashe Maponde Sibanda allegedly arrived at the place finding a security Cosmas Madziva upon placing his order the guard had told him that the place was closed.
The news did not go well with Sibanda who kicked the door in anger with the intention of forcing himself in, resulting into causing damage to the door.
Damaged property is valued at $1000.
