A lovesick German teenager broke into a female prison and climbed up to his ex-girlfriend’s barred window to beg her to take him back.
She had just dumped the unnamed 18-year-old over the jail telephone, according to reports.
Firefighters were summoned to remove the infatuated intruder, who had removed his top to avoid snagging it on barbed wire, after he refused to climb down from his perch on the first-floor.
It remains unclear why the teenager didn’t simply book a visit.
He now faces prosecution for trespass.
German media reported that the girl, also 18, ended the relationship shortly before the teenager embarked on his quest to see her at the facility in Vechta, Lower Saxony.
He managed to scale the four-meter wall by shimmying up a lamppost, which has now been wrapped in razor wire.
There were no details about either teen or whether the daring raid was enough to win her back.
