Uladi speaks on on his resignation as Mutharika’s advisor

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for Central Region Uladi Mussa has for the first commented on his resignation as President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s advisor on Parliamentary Affairs.

Speaking in Tiuzeni Zoona programme aired on Sunday at Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), Mussa said he talked to President Mutharika before resigning.

“I had a meeting with the President on the matter and he accepted my resignation. I want this issue of corruption against me be investigated without any obstacles and I know my hands are cleaning. If you talk of corruption it involves money and where is the said money?” queried Mussa.

Mussa resigned on his post in August following a ban by the United States of America stopping him from entering US over corruption allegation.

Mussa is currently answering the charge of allegedly fraudulently issuing citizenships and passports to Burundians and Rwandans among other foreign nationals when he was the minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security.

The former minister was arrested in 2017 and later released on bail but the case is still in court.
