Vuwa Kaunda blames Atupele over sale of Livimbo School

Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development Simon Vuwa Kaunda has said Atupele Muluzi is the one to blame over the sale of Livimbo Primary and Secondary school in the capital Lilongwe.

Kaunda said this when reacting to the call for his resignation by the Legal Affairs Committee of Parliament over the dubious sale of the school.

The Minister told one of the local radios in the country that he should not be taken to task over the matter saying the school is alleged to have been sold in 2017 when Muluzi was Minister responsible for lands.

He said if anything the committee should question Muluzi over the matter saying he has only been in office for six months.

Effort to talk to Muluzi who is currently outside the country proved futile.
