Police in Phalombe district have arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly killing another 22-year-old man for suspecting him that he had stolen a bicycle.
The suspect has been identified as Dyton Malinga and the deceased as Chimwemwe Chimberenga who hailed from Nampunga village in the area of Traditional Authority Kaduya in Phalombe district.
The suspect has since been charged with murder and will appear in court soon.
In another story related to crimes, police in Chiradzulu are looking for five people who stole bags of maize from Namitambo Admarc on Monday, 20th January 2020.
Reports say the stolen maize was supposed to be given to people that have been affected with hunger in the district.
