PP Eastern Region Organizing Secretary resigns

Opposition People’s Party (PP) Organizing Secretary for Eastern Region Mathews Banda has resigned from his position effective January 1, 2020.

Banda handed over the resignation letter on Wednesday citing loss of direction of the party under Dr. Joyce Banda who currently dining with Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

In the letter seen by Faceofmalawi reporter, Banda said he has resigned both as an official and member of the party.

“I have the honur to write you this letter of resignation from the party (PP) borth as a member and as Eastern Region Organizing Secretary.

“Wishing you all the best and the party itself as it is gaining momentum ahead of any near future elections,” reads part of the letter.

Meawhile People’s Party (PP) Secretary Ackson Kalaile Banda has quashed claims by Banda that the party has lost direction.
