‘Ana Adadi’ Car Runs After Hitting a Protester in Blantyre

A Car wrapped in Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) cloth hit and run a man during the party’s march in Blantyre.

The incident happened on Monday around Chichiri Shopping mall on their way to Blantyre City Council Civic Offices to deliver their petition.

The visibly in pain man told our reporter the car was speeding and hit him but did not stop.

The driver took off from the scene after being told to park closer as they arranged for the victims treatment.

Red cross personnel who were on the scene took the man into their car for medical treatment.

Attempts to get details of the car and victim from Police proved futile as they kept throwing the reporter around.

Blantyre Police spokesperson Augustus Nkhwazi directed the reporter to his deputy who was cooperative but said the accident happened within the area of Limbe Police.

Regional Police Ramsy Mushani spokesperson said he had no knowledge of such an accident and could not comment.
