SUNGLASSES PROVE TO BE MORE THAN A FASHION STATEMENT

Have you ever heard the saying a picture is worth a thousand words? In simple terms, the phrase refers to the concept th

at a single picture has the ability to convey a myriad of different ideas. For everyone, each snapshot can have a special meaning em

bedded within it, whether it is a photo of a funny moment shared among friends or of a beautiful sunset. One organization, SnapFlashLove, is presenting this idea by giving the world a glimpse of everyday life in previously unknown locations through the lens of a camera.

The organization was created by Gabrielle Romano with the intention of showing everyone the voices that are not being seen or heard by people around the globe. This, of course, cannot be achieved without the right amount of exposure, education and advocacy for these people who do not have a voice. SnapFlashLove is giving life to areas of the world that many people do not know exist!

Photo courtesy of SnapFlashLoveLast year the organization visited Malawi, Africa in the hopes of illustrating what life is like for these unidentified voices. In case you have never heard of Malawi, it is small landlocked country that resides among Mozambique, Zambia and Tanzania. This country is slightly smaller than Pennsylvania and, unfortunately, is among the world’s least developed, but most densely populated countries.

To help SnapFlashLove with this endeavor in Malawi, Sunglass Warehouse donated 100 pairs of sunglasses to the organization for them to take on their journey! With a simple donation, we are able to help spread the word about the betterment this organization is striving to achieve. In the photo above, you can see how happy a simple pair off sunglasses made a young boy. Sunglass Warehouse was more than happy to help SnapFlashLove!
