Red Lions slam Civo in Presidential Initiative on Sports

Red Lions wipe out Civo united 2-0 in high tempo Presidential Initiative on Sports (PIS) match played at Civo stadium on Saturday.

Benjamin Kalua and Dan Katunga claimed a goal each to beat Civo and proceed into quarter finals. Civo struggled to pick up form and played their usual football as the Reds were all over.

Civo created few chances and failed to utilize them while Lions of Zomba came wave after wave. Collins Nkuna said he was happy with the win and my players play according to advice.

“We will prepare for the next game against ESCOM,” he said while Alex Masanjala said that it was fair results for both teams.

He was not impressed on how team played and could concede even four goals. He further describe this season as tough one.

With the draw Civo has 11points from seven games.
