Africa Cup of Nations 2013 Final qualifying round: Results and fixtures

Cape Verde produced one of the shocks of the weekend with a 2-0 win over the once indomitable lions of Cameroon in the final qualifying round for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

Central African Republic also continued their fine run in the qualification and their 1-0 win over Burkina Faso is a step closer to the finals.

Central African Republic pushed aside Egypt in the previous round and Burkina FAso have to take note.

Elsewhere Nigeria continued to struggle on form and drew 2-2 with Liberia a team Nigeria used to beat at will. Times have changed though.

Sudan recorded the biggest Afcon qualifying win of the day after beating Ethiopia 5-3 in Khartoum.
