Former president of the Alliance for Democracy-AFORD Mr Dindi Gowa Nyasulu has died in a South African hospital.
Secretary General of Aford Mr. Khwauli Msiska says Mr. Nyasulu’s has been in a South African Hospital where he went for treatment three weeks ago.
“Yes I got a call from a close member of the family from South Africa that he [Hon Gowa Nyasulu] died this morning (Tuesday, December 11, 2012).
Burial arrangements are yet to be announced by family members.
Mr. Gowa Nyasulu resigned as Aford President late last month and was replaced by Mr. Godfrey Shaba.
He was the party’s touch bearer in the 2009 general election.
Aford was founded by the late Chakufwa Chihana and was a force to reckon with in the northern region and at one time it had 46 MPs but currently it has only two.
