Malawi President global trotting as thousands perish due to drug shortage

President Joyce Banda is busy on foreign trips (South Korea, United Kingdom etc) when thousands of Malawians are dying in hospitals due to drug shortage. Eight months and she didn’t even procure any single drug but only busy distributing maize using taxpayers money.

She only ordered Cardiac drugs and leaves out the basic medicines.This is an emergency and we need to see urgent action.

She claims to champion safe motherhood, why then should babies be born safe only to die because there is no medication for pneumonia,TB, cholera? If referral hospitals like Kamuzu Central and Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital have run short of drugs, what about our small hospitals in Chiringa, Namwera, Kamwendo, Mtunthama, Rumphi, Bangula?

Malawi needs a serious change in its leadership, and the time is now.
