Malawi police say will commence impounding all motorists who are using unregistered vehicles without authorized document from the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) and police.
A police spokesperson in the capital Lilongwe said there are lots of unregistered vehicles moving around the city.
“We are therefore warning that our Traffic Police Officers shall impound all those vehicles without fear or favor or the driver shall pay a fine of K 5, 000,” said Namalenga.
The police have also warned that driving with foreign number is not allowed unless there is a backing document from MRA.
