Friends of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have organized a fundraiser and dance dubbed Blue Night on Saturday in Lilongwe.
According to the party’s announcement, Blue Night aims at rising funds for the children’s ward at the Kamuzu Central Hospital, which of rate has been affected with shortage of beds and medicine.
Recently, the local media was washed with reports that almost six children are sharing a single bed at the referral hospital due to lack of resources.
Over the past weeks, DPP has also come to the rescue of the people who were affected by the floods in the central and southern
regions where they provided food and other needs.
The guest of honor at the function is yet to be known but almost all party officials and Members of Parliament will be available.
The fundraising dinner dance will start at 3:30pm up to 10:30pm with an entry fee of MK2500 per person.
