Vuwa Kaunda released on bail

Nkhata Bay Central MP Symon Vuwa Kaunda has been freed.

The State made an application to have his bail bond forfeited but the court has thrown it out because Kaunda had permission from the court to leave the country.

He was arrested on Saturday night at Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) as he was about to fly to Brussels for a joint Parliamentary Assembly.

He is meanwhile contacting the Airline to see if he can still leave for Brussels.
