Report exposes Bright Msaka’s double facedness

Malawi’s top civil servant Bright Msaka has been undressed. The Commission of Inquiry on the death of President Bingu Wa Mutharika has revealed that Msaka who portrays himself as a smarter professional civil servant is in fact a politician who lives like a wolf in a sheep’s skin.

In the past, Bright Msaka has been described with many colourful accolades as; a ‘loyal’, ‘professional’,­ ‘neutral’, ‘patriot’ and many others. However, according to the final report to the Bingu Inquiry, Bright Msaka has been found to be just like many other hungry politicians existing in Malawi. The real Bright Msaka has been undressed and his nakedness seen.

This is a man who has abused his privileged position in government by reporting ill about others to sitting presidents in order for him to hang on to his lucrative job but for how long? Now the dice is cast and there will be no any other better time in Malawi for Bright Msaka to quit the position of Chief Secretary than now. Msaka has betrayed the confidence and trust that the people of Malawi had in him. He shouldn’t wait to be arrested or have President Joyce Hilda Mtila Banda grind an axe to fire him.

Bright Msaka cannot keep on plotting things and let others shoulder the blame on his behalf. He has to swallow his pride now and quit. His actions as per concluded by the inquiry have shown he is not professional and clean enough to head our civil service. Our humble appeal to Mr Bright Msaka is for him to please resign now.
