#Malawi‘s Queens beat Botswana by 63 goals to 23 to finish top of pool A in the on-going #AfricaNetballChampionship at the Blatyre Youth Center.

Nervousness gripped netball die-hards today as Malawi Queens survived Zambia scare to reach the semifinals of the Africa Netball Championship at Blantyre Youth Centre.

… The two-time defending champions scrapped through with a 55-48 victory over highly spirited Zambia, who dominated the match at long intervals.

Queens players, officials and scores of fans were relieved to have beaten Zambia, who the previous day had defeated Botswana 55-41.

It was a victory that came out of hard work and sheer luck as Zambia threatened to embarrass Queens at home. – By Mphatso Malidadi
