Parliament has adopted the 2012/2013 National budget pegged at K630.5 billion

Parliament yesterday adopted the 2012/2013 National budget pegged at K630.5 billion
after Members of Parliament approved all allocations to 57 government ministries.

This follows four days of rigorous vote by vote scrutiny of all the allocation in the national budget.

Meanwhile Leader of the House Henry Phoya has said legislators will complete the process of having the national budget in place on Monday, when other bills related to the budget will be tabled in the House.

The bills that will be tabled will legally empower the government to start using the money that is in the budget.
