“where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law” (Proverbs 29:18). Dean Reverend Joseph Banda, Assistant to the Bishop of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM) today July 10, 2013 based his devotion on this verse at official opening of the women workshop in Lilongwe at Cathedral centre. The workshop which runs from today through Sunday 14th, is attended by 20 girls and young women from nine deaneries in the church. Participants were urged to share the knowledge and skills to other fellow congregations. Facilitators will present lessons on gender violence, human rights, HIV and AIDS, parenting styles, economic empowerment etc. Dean Banda is Board member representing the Bishop as Advisor to the Lutheran Hour Ministry-Malawi . LHM-Malawi attended the opening ceremony. Among participants others were former ministry center volunteers from north and south of Malawi. We are praying for workshop success.
