Murder suicide in Rumphi

Solani Msuku, a 41 year old man from Rumphi, yesterday killed his 17 year old son by strangulation (kumukwizinga pa khosi ndi manja) before he killed himself.

According to the suicide note he left, Solani says he was not happy at all to see his son going to the new house of his mother (his wife he divorced and had just re-married). Reports say, Solani had been complaining to several people in the village about that, and mostly because his ex-wife had remarried and she looked happy.

He had also warned his son several times to stop visiting his ex wife at her new home but these warnings were not being observed by the son and many people believe he did this out of anger
