Police in Nkhotakota have said that 5 people from Senior Chief Malengachanzi Area are feared to have drowned in Lake Malawi as they went fishing about 3 days ago and have not yet reported home up to now.
The search the police and people who know them mounted has yield nothing.
”Its sad. We r just waiting for their bodies to float now. I have no hope for any of them being alive,” said a wife to one of the missinf fishermen
Nkhotakota police publicist Kaitano Lubrino has confirmed the development and said the names of the victims are; Simbi Banda(30), Loda Banda(28), Clement Sibande(16), Simeon Chirwa (24) and Kestala Chilema(27).
